WHO ARE YOU?

My name is Madelene. I am proud to be a woman of God. I believe each of us chose to be here and arrive on this Earth plane, and it isn’t so beautiful we get to be here and experience this life together? I am committed to coming home to myself and finding Purpose and Presence through my life experiences. I was introduced to yoga by my dad at age 15, and since then I feel I have been Guided towards a life of healing and getting to know myself and others along the way.

WHY ARE YOU HERE?

I am happy to be a part of the Ocean Lab family firstly because I believe authentic connection is something our society is needing these days. Finding community is so important and being able to walk into the Lab where you feel comfortable, safe and welcomed is something that can impact someone’s day, week and even outlook on life.

I believe our community is so amazing but alongside that, the healing modalities offered here are a bit different than you’d find in a yoga studio, therapy session or any other environment. It’s super interesting to me that healing can often come about by first consciously choosing to put ourselves in an uncomfortable situation (ie cold plunge, sauna or float tank). Getting out of the mind and into the body is effective, and it’s a reminder of just how powerful we truly are when we take the opportunity to challenge ourselves.

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT?

Throughout the past decade I have studied and gained a deep knowledge of nutrition and dietetics and yoga and they are two of my biggest passions. I also am so passionate about women’s empowerment, family and creating and finding beauty every day.

HOW ARE YOU MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE?

I believe I contribute to making the world a better place by encouraging everyone I encounter to find an authentic expression of who they are and to own it. I also love to serve God by serving others. I love to ask myself, how can I be of service because it gets me out of my own way.

ANY GIFTS YOU CAN SHARE WITH THE COMMUNITY?

I share my gifts mainly through my nutrition and yoga offerings, as well as through holding space for others in a gentle and grounded way.
